S "THE BUX ". AHEATH KIT i'Yr9S FRUPUSED BUT IT WAS DECIDED THAT FOR 1'Ha5 TIME AND E14ERGY INVOLVED IT WAS NOT A PRACTICAL CHUICE.BEVERLY IS INVESTIGATING THE POSSIBILITY OF SECURING ONE AS A TRADE. PHYLISS HUPECK, A STAINED GLmss artist attended the meeting she addressed the BOARD WITH A PROPOSAL'INVOLVING HER PARTICULAR SKILLS.SHE REQUESTED THE BOARD'S PERMISSION 'TO PURSUE THE PROSEECTUOF.A GRANTWHICH WILL FUND DESIGNING,CRAFTING AND TH•E INSTALLATION OF STAINED GLASS WINDOWS IN THE UPSTAIRS AREA OF THE LI& ARY.SLIDES OF HER PREVIOUS COMMISSIONS WERE SHOWN AND THEN DISCUSSED. AS A GROUP THE BOARD VERBALIZED THEIR AP PRE_ CIATIUN OF MISS HvPECK'S TALENT AND CAPABILITY.THERE WAS A DISCUSSION ABOUT THE LIGHT FACTOR AND HOW STAINED GLASS MIGHT AFFECT DAYLIGHT IN THE LIBRARY.IT WAS EXPLAINED BY PHYLISS THAT CLEAR GLASS COULD L,BE:= ANIINTRAGALr ,R&RT;iOFl,TEEE DES IGN.SIM.FLE PATTERN S ANDLIGHT COLORS WOULD HELP ALLOW SUFFICIENT DAYLIGHT FOR READING PURPOSES AS WELL.ALTERNATE WINDOWS ARP: ANUTHER CUNSIDERATION, THERESA GOLDSMITH BADE A MOTION THAT PHYLISS INVESTIGATE THE 1-OS61BILITES OF SUCH A GRANT AND REQUESTEDl�SOME PRELIMINARY SKETCHES THAT MIGHT BE APPROPRIATE FUR TaS LIBRARY. THE BOARD AGREED. THE LIBRARY DRAGON 'TOOK FIRST PRIZE IN THE MONSTER CATAGORY IN THE PET PARADE DURIBG THE RHODY FESTIVAL. A,A.J�QUkc�IFjD.
