August 31, 1977
Present: Lamb, Goldsmith, Kilham

The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Teresa Goldsmith.
The minutes were read and appnoved.
Bev gave the Librarian's report noting that circulation is up especially in the
childrens area. We will have a pattern exchange and an announcement bulletin board.
The vouchers were signed.
Bev reported on the LSCA grant application. The Library Committee will decide on
the Jefferson County project on Sept 8. It was decided that the board sign an
Intent ib Contract, legally indicating our intent in the Jefferson County project.
Bev reported thatthe rough estimate for getting baseboard heaters for the basement
would be a couple thousand. It was suggested that we further investigate solving
the problem of regulation of the radiators.
Bev presented a new budget proposal. It was decided that we request revenue sharing
funds from the city council for a building study. The amount should be $5000.00.
It was decided that we submit the budget with a cover letter to the city council.
It was also d &ided that we request any wage increase to city employees be added to
our budget for our employees.
A painting by Lockwood Dinnis was presented to the library.
Bev announced that September 7 & 8 are the Library Commission and Director's Meeting.
She will be out of the library this week.
There was some discussion about redecorating the bathrooms.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:05 pm.
