were lUlham, Barnhart., Harms and 1allin.
Mrs.1.4allin reported that the Statistical Report of the State had
been favorable. The fact that circulation is slightly lowere reflects the
new policy of increasing the time that users are allowed to keep their
books. Inter - library loans and the nur,iber of people viewing filr_I.s has gone

Cash on hand in the Library Fund at City Hall at the end of 1973 is
$10,076. This balance has increased considerably because the tax base has
changed and our portion of the millage exceeds the budget request. This
is money for emergency ordinances that we can tap because no Reserve Fund
has been set up. 1so the amounts from Fines and forfeitures has increased.
If possible, airs. ",a.11in i.,could like to use some of this extra money to buy
more shelving for the non - fiction department.
