40 Trustees of the Library met at the library the evening; of June 5th,
for a review of the area at the rear of the building. Present was

Mr Harry Deits, former Board member who met with us, is an engineer,
and he explained the :Fight of TTsage, in reference to the roadway and
parking area on Lot 1030 behind the library.
Members of the Board suggested that this roadway and parking space be
graded by the City, and a type of gravel surface be used as a cover-
ing. Mr Deits suggested crushed rock, with. a two inch dressing of
�;ra,vel as a top cover.

Pottoff to the City Council., asl ;'inF, for the use of Lot 103, for a
parking. Yotion ca -ried. It should also be pointed out that we are
told money is available from the Reserve Fund, and city equipment
could be used for tl-i.e work.
The Board members then considered the construction of a ramp to the
main floor of the building, making library facilities available to
those wbo can no longer climb the steps to the front entrance.
Mr Deits was asked as to cost of this addition, and estimated the
ramp could be built for around I ,2500., depending upon the type of
0 materials used.
Mr Wallin suggested. that he would take a pictr-.re of the building
and send to Mr Victor Stel.nbrok, archect, for design. Mr Cupp, an
engineer for Crown Zellerbaeh, was suggested by Mr Deits, for draw-
ings and specifications.
