A Library Meeting was called for 1.30 o'clock on Monday
evening, May 2. Those prent wera: Neil Potthof, George Nichols,
Mrs. Wallin, and Sallie Hill. The lattar, though not a member of
Library Board, took minutes in the absence of Mrs. Hunt, the sec-
retary. Since there was not a quorum prasent and no official busi-
ness could be transacted, this record does not constitute accept-
able minutes.
In Mrs. Hunt's absence, the minutes of the -1 4-T- rmeating wara
not read.. However,
1. The April vouchers were signed.
2. Mrs. Wallin read her report of library tranactions during
April, including the figures for circulation for both a-
dults and childran, registration of borrowers both those
living w1i.thin the city limits and those living without,
the number "ot inter - library loans', the total of money do-
posited with the city treasurer, the money currently in
the r.volving fund; the number of books accessed.
3. Mrs. Wallin reported on the work already accomplished by
the Garden Club in its project for improvement of the ap-
pearance of the library's grounds.
4.' She r.Dnd a writtekaport of the recent Regional Meeting of
Librarians Pt Tacoma.
59 She reportad that she had written the Mayor and City Council
asking that the City Engineer be instructed to detarmine the
_property linos of the library grounds and to mark the same
by stakes.
. 6. Further discussion followed concerning the possibility and
practicality of establishing a parking area at the rear of
the building. The mo.�ting terminated at 8,00.
