Special Meeting at Home of Sallie Hill.
A special meeting of the Board was called to discuss the possibility
of involvement in a Library District, and to exchange ideas as to
extended services that we could offer. Present were Chr Potthoff,
Dr Chuljian, Miss Hill, airs Hunt, and Lrs Wallin.
The Board concurred that if funds were available, hours at the
library could be extended, perhaps opening at eleven o'clock, to
serve rural families who come into town in the morning, instead of
the usual two o'clock opening. Our funds are so limited in the extrq-
help area, that it would be necessary to have county help.
Notion. It was moved by Dr Chul jian 'that T:ir Potthoff meet with
the county commissioners and discuss with them the probability of
extended servl.ce by opening the library at eleven, if funds could. be
ava:i.labl.e, and if an interest is shown by county res i.dents in th'i.s
type of service. Motion carried.
it was pointed out by i,":rs 11'allin that time do K,.rovid.e a service
to county members at a lower rate than -Lo city patrons.
Yeet..ng adjourned by tl,e Chairman.
