Trustees of the Port Townsend Library Board met at the library
April 27th for their re,rular meeting. Present were Chr. Potthoff, Dr.
Chul jian, Miss Hill, Mrs Hunt, and Mrs Wallin.
Yinutes of the Last general meeting; were read and approved with
one correction.
Mrs Wallin, librarian, gave her stactical report, and also one
which she had prepared depicting April events,
Open Douse project was a successful one, with many people coming
to see the films and exhibits.
After some discussion the Board members stated this policy :
Children who v isit the library and who are noisy a -nd bothersome,
should have their library priviledges suspended for a time, and
parents should be notified of their conduct.
The exhibits at Open House by lZrs Johnson and Mr Gregory are to
be left in the library for a month.
MIr Potthoff will check shelving, which Is being contructed at the
High School.
Notices for overdue books. The Board felt that the precedure
of sending out notices for overdue books was a necessary one, and should
be carried on.
Members discussed the need of an entrance at the rear of the build-
ing. Consesus of opinion was that we should ask Council for Special Funds
to construct a ramp at the back of the building, with a parking space for
cars. Mrs Hunt to call Mr Abraham, City Attorney concerning and easement
