port Townsend Library Board met May 5th at the Library, with 2'
guests present, 14ayor Sullivan and Mrs. Robert Nelson.
Minutes of the April meeting were read and approved.
Mrs. Cumings have the Librarian's report.
Discussion followed regarding maintenance of the lawn. Mayor
Sullivan stated he had been receiving; complaints from townspeople
regarding care of the lawn. Lawn case has been s one by Bobby Gibson,
at the fee of $10. for 3 mowing *s a month--this fee, also included
watering of the lawn. Boards decision was to pay X1)6.00 for two mow -
ings. Mr. Deits to talk to Bob Giiuson.
Correspondence.
Letter from Miss Sheehan stating; she would be here June 1st.
New Business;
Mrs. Nelson spoke briefly on the H.B. , a federal grant
0 for building new libraries with local. matching .funds. She gave a letter
to Mr. Deits drawn up by Mr. Abraham to be sent in as our intention
to file in the near future for such funds. She stressed that she had
been informed we were not obligated in sending in this application.
The Board decided to approach the State Library in regard to this.
