1. Bev Lamb will list volunteer hours worked in the library,
This will help indicate those hours for next year's bud-
g, urin the tra ning r x,eriod, for every two volunteer
hours, one hour of staff tirr.e is spent in helping; the vol-
unteers understand the library's system. This :should im-
prove as all the volunteers become trained.
2. The Fort Townsend Fire Department will fix the broken
line on the fla.7pole .
3. Reorganization of the Friends of the Library is proceed -
ing well under the leadership of President Sue Sidle.
Planning Committee Report.
1. Bev Lamb and Sharon Bodkin have worked out a job des-
cription for Carole Laird as Job Coordinator for the Planning
Process. The job description is attached. This allow;
Carole Raird greater possibilities in assisting the planning;
process rather than in her previous job commitment as data
coordinator.
Cutstandinr bills were received and signed.

1. aids on the display case were reviewed.
a. The Christian Science Society submitted a bid
of $85.
b. The Jefferson Co. Library submitted a bid of
Y225.
2. Cheryl Van Dyke moved that the Board accept the bid from
the Jefferson County Library. Laurie Stewart seconded the
motion. The Board. voted and carried the motion.
N-w Business
1. The next Board meeting will be held December 29th at
7:30 in the Children's Library.
2. The Budget Hearing by the City Council will be held at
City Hall on 'Novermber 30th at 7:30. All Library Board mem-
bers are urged to attend.

3. Discussion of annexation possibilities ensued. The
Board felt it most advantageous to move slowly on the possi-
bility of annexation to _feel out both advantages and dis-
advantages. Sharon Bodkin and Bev Lamb will try to work
out ways in which efficient cooperation can be accomplished .
between the two libraries to help through the current budget
crunch.
