The meeting was called to order at 7 :37.
Present were Konrad Schwenke, John Marckworth, Cheryl
Van Dyke, Dick McCurdy, Laurie Stewart, Beverly Lamb.
The reading of the minutes from the last meeting was
waived.
Librarian's Report (attached)
1. The Friends of the Library held their annual
meeting. Their budget expenditure list is attached.
a. Sue Sidle, President of the Friends of
the Library, has volunteered to help raise
balance of funds for a microcomputer.
b. Public use for intial break -in period
for microcomputer needs to be investigated..
John Marckworth was appointed to be liasion
with the FOL. He will also lookA into
commercial data bases.
2. The City Council officially granted our emer-
gency appropriation request.
0 3. Bev reported that building maintenance budget
has approximately $400 left, and that the entire
budget was pretty much down to the wire.
4. Mayor Barney McClure will contact the Library
Board for the next budget meeting.
5. The meeting with Jan Blumberg and the Library
Committee from the City Council is not yet set.
Committee Reports:
1. Building Committee
a. The front canopy definitely needs re-
pairing. A possible estimate for repair:
$600 --$800 to tear down and start over. The
abutment edge of the canopy to building needs
to be seriously examined. The Committee
suggested that a possible deferred payment
could help ease the budget squeeze. Laurie
Stewart will contact Rob Marean on replacing
the canopy.
b. Laurie Stewart will discuss bid process
with David Grove, city clerk - treasurer.
c. The back entrance ramp has been repaired.
The loose roofing paper has been peeled
and a few rotten boards replaced. Paint and
a non -skid tread still need to be applied.
Volunteers will be solicited.
Vouchers were signed.
There were no communications or old business.
