deferred until farther along in the design/bid process.
The Board discussed the recommendation of the Building
Committee that the architects be instructed to proceed with
design development of designs presented at the Feb. 7
meeting. After some discussion it was moved and seconded
that the architects be so instructed providing such designs
fall within the framework of our budget. Motion passed'
The Board discussed the shed-roof configuration over the
stairway which appears in current designs vs. the flat-roof
design in earlier plans. It was moved and seconded that the
architects be instructed to go back to the flat roof design
without skylighting. Motion passed.
Site development--
Mike Mortenson will develop cost estimates for grading and
Paving work called for in the original, 1986 feasibility
study. These figures will be presented to the City Council
in order to indicate corner lot costs which will be covered
in our current budget & the scope of unbudgeted costs.
Circulation/work areas--
Barbara Kaiser discussed the importance and rationale behind
individual work stations 8 shared work space. There was
general discussion as to the location of the circulation
desk relative to the children's area. There was general
