AN ORDINANCE OF THE CImY OF TOWNSEND DEDICATI 'm 'O -mIO
OF THE SOUTH ½ OF SECTION 2 IN TOWNSHIP 30 NORTH, RANGE 1 WEST
OF THE WILLAMETTE MERIDIAN, WITHIN THE CITY AS A PUBLIC STREET:
ESTABLISHING A NAME FOR THE STREET THUS CREATED AS
AND PROVIDING FOR RECORDATION AND AN EFFECTIVE D'~._
THE CITY COUNCIL OF'~:HE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND, IN REGULAR
SESSION ASSEMBLED, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City of Port Townsend does here and hereby
dedicate the following described real property for city public street
purposes:
That portion of the South ½ of Section 2 in Township 30 North,
Range 1 West of the Willamette Meridian, described as follows, to
wit; Beginning at the Northeast corner of Fir and "F"Streets in the
City of Port Townsend, Jefferson County, Washington; thence Northerly
along the East line of said Fir St.reet, 318 Feet to the True point of
Beginning; thence continuing Northerly along the East line of said
Fir Street, 12 feet; thence Easterly at right angles, 132 feet to the
West line of Tax No. 38 (as said Tax No. 38 is described in that
certain deed recorded in Volume 36 of Deeds, on page 523); thence
Southerly along the West line of said Tax No. 38, 12 feet; thence
Westerly at right angles 132 feet to the True Point of Beginning.
ALSO, the Southerly 18 feet of that certain vacated street or
alley known as Dodd Place of Pettygrove's First Addition to the City
of Port Townsend, as said street or alley was vacated by Ordinance
No. 1398 of the City of Port Townsend.
Section 2. That the aforementioned street be and the same is
here and hereby named "Dodd Place."
Section 3. That the Mayor and City Clerk for the City be and
they are hereby authorized and directed to execute an~ and all other
documents or instruments necessary to complete or perfect the dedica-
tion of such street on behalf of the City of Port Townsend.
Section 4. That the City reserves all rights of easements in
and to said street, and in, over, under, and upon the same for
utilities and other public purposes which by law the City Ray from
time to time establish and for which public streets may be used.
Section 5. That this Ordinance shall take effect upon its
passage, approval and publication in the form and manner provided
by law.
Section 6. That the City Clerk be and is hereby directed to
record this ordinance or a certified copy hereof with the Jefferson
County Auditor following its effective date.
Read for the first, second and third times, passed by [he City
Council for the City of Port Townsend and signed by the Mayor this
21st day of February, 1989.
