Agreed to change future meeting times to 8 -9:30 AM at Deborah's request. Next meeting: Thursday 10 March. 2. Bill Maxwell gave notice that he will be away for all of April. 3 Minutes of previous meeting approved after accepting the correction that Julia Owens is not a "'Guest" but an 'Alternate Member ". 4. Communications: Notice of City Council retreat on 5 March. - Letter of thanks from Mr. & Mrs Younger; agreed to ask the Youngers to send a copy of their letter to the reader. 5. Director's Report: - Revised statement of Mission, etc., distributed. - Youth - Librarian position has been posted; application reviews begin in mid - February. - Theresa will attend Library Legislative Day in Olympia. - circulation Desk is to be moved on President's Day. -Design for a new mural at the Library entrance was reviewed and praised. -Plans for celebration of National Library week in mid- April were discussed. Page 1 AT-F00018 - Details on the Library Planning Retreat on 5 February were presented. 6. Library Foundation: - Lengthy discussion about how to re uvenate the Library Foundation, and haw this problem will be approached in the up- coming Library Planning Retreat. 7. <ate reported that the Read to Rover program is ready to roll. Greeted with much enthusiasm. 8. The next Friends of the Library book sale will be in March. Meeting adjourned 10:55AM. • 0 Page 2
