HomeMy WebLinkAbout3101 to Create a Separate Unemployment Self-Insurance Fund Ordinance 3101 Page 1 of 1 Ordinance No. 3101 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND AMENDING THE PORT TOWNSEND MUNICIPAL CODE CHAPTER 3.04 TO CREATE A SEPARATE UNEMPLOYMENT SELF-INSURANCE FUND WHEREAS, as recommended by the City Manager, the City Council determines it appropriate to establish a separate Unemployment Self-Insurance Fund, in order to allow the City to better track costs related to unemployment obligations. NOW, THEREFORE,the City Council of the City of Port Townsend ordains as follows: SECTION 1. New Section 3.04.320—Unemployment Self-Insurance Fund. A new section of Chapter 3.04, Funds, Section 3.04.320 - Unemployment Self-Insurance Fund, of the Port Townsend Municipal Code, is hereby adopted and shall read as follows: 3.04.280 Unemployment Self-Insurance Fund There is established a special fund to be known as the Unemployment Self-Insurance Fund, for the purpose of tracking costs related to self-insured unemployment obligations. SECTION 5. Severability. If any provision of this ordinance or its application to any person or circumstance is held invalid, the remainder of the ordinance, or the application of the provision to other persons or circumstances is not affected. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force five days after the date of its publication in the manner provided by law.
