'~ ~,' ROLL CALL Officiers and members present were as follows: Mayor Joseph Stev~,Council:men Ciprioti, Judy, Camfield, Wilson, and Shaneyfelt, Clerk-Treasurer-Engineer French, and Deputy 'rreasurer Spindor. I MINUTES A motion made by Judy/Camfield that the reading of the minutes be dispensed with and approved as written. Motion passed. ti:OMMUNICATIONS I A letter was received from the Librarian/Beyerly Lamb, relative to the proposed contract with the County Commissioners for services in the County. A letter from Liz Svensson concerning the' oiling of Tyler Street and the effect this would have on the Tibbals building.was read. Åcëla~ffor personal injuries was f~led by Laurie Stewart for injuries received by his minor child, Sky Stewart, on the jungle gym in Chetzemoka Park. A motion was made by Camfield/Ciprioti to refer the case to the City Attorney. PUBLIC HEARINGS 8 A public hearing was held oñ the Six Year Road Program. Comments were he,ard from the audience. A motion was made by Camfield/Ciprioti to approve Resolution No. 77. Motion f'assed. RESOLUTION NO. 77-J A RES0LUTION ADOPTING A SIX YEAR COMPREHENSIVE STREET PLAN, FOR THE YEARS 1978 TO 1983. A public hearing was held on the proposed Federal Revenue Sharing budget. Ciprioti/Judy to approve the following. Motion passed. A motion was made by I Golden Age Club Public Safety-Police Park Acquistion I Street Signs Sidewalks Youth Recreation Mental Health Park Construction City Hall Repairs Animal Control Restoration 3,000.00 6,000.00 14,000.00 2,500.00 5,000.00 21,700.00 7,500.00 5,000.00 5'}'000.00 5,000.00 Repairs -~, TOTAL 74,700.00 8 NOTE: The Statement of Assurances for General Revenue Sharing Entitlement P.~riod Nin~ later found to be $7l,136.00 only. This necessitates lowering the proposed City Hall Repairs to $1,436.00. OLD BUSI.NESS ,I Councilmen Ciprioti requested signs d~recting tourists to Eort Worden be put up. Mayor Steve and City-Treasurer-Engineer French replied that there are bike signs with Fort Wo:rden signs at San Juan and Admiralty Way. Mayor Steve will have additional signs installed. City-Treasurer-Engineer French asked that the Mayor be',àuthorized to sign contracts with Encon. Motion was made by Judy/Ciprioti and passed. A preapplication has already b,aen sent in. Councilmen Judy commented about a letter from Mr. Maxwell outlining the :requirements for state grants. COMMITTEE REPORTS City-Treasurer-Engineer French reported on the Drought Relief grant request. Val Cameron said it woúld include reservoirs. NEW BUSINESS ~I Motion was made by Ciprioti/Judy to set a public hearing on September 6,1977 on the Conditional Use Permit No. 7708- requested by William Bradford West, Craftsman. Motion passed.
