ROLL CALL
Officers and members present were as follows: Mawor Sullivan, City Attorney Abraham, City
Clerk Youngblood, Co:uncilinen Sweitzer, Hoglund, Ruby, Siebenbaum, Lindsey, Carter. Councilman
Juëliy absent.
BUDGET SESSION
"
Mayor Sullivan announced that the purpose of the meeting was for the consideration of the
budget of the City of Port Townsend, as required by statute and that no other business would
be considered at this meeting.
BUDGET CONSIDERATION
The council considered each item of the budget, making changes as necessary, changes to be
confirmed after full consideration.
CURRENT EXPENSE FUND
No changes were made under General City Government, City Attornyy, City Treasurer, City Clerk
Police Department, Fire DepClrtment, City Engineer, Planning Commision, City Hall Bldg, Micell-
aneous Fund. It was moved by Councilman Hoglund seconded by Councilman Sweitzer that the

Sweitzer that tþe City Street Fund budget for 1967 be adopted. Motion carried.
LIBRARY FUND
No chClnges under under Library Fund. It was moved by Councilman Hoglund seconded by Councilman
Lindsey that the Lib rary Fund Budget for 1967 be adopted. Motion carried.
PARK FUND
Undœ Salaries & 'Wages, the item Salö.ries be reduced from $5100. to fp4560. I t was moved by
Councilman Sweitzer seconded by Councilman Siebenbaum that the changes in the Park Dep~rtment
Budget be confirme~ and that the Park Department Budget for 1967 be adopted. Under the Questiol1l
Councilman Carter said thClt he felt that the Caretaker of the Park should be getting the same
salary as other.depÇ3.rtmentheads. Councilman Siebenbaum and--Gouncilman Hoglund said that due
to the fact thö.t he was. receiving free house ö.nd utilities that they felt the salary of the
Park Cartaker W?s j~st. flpon roll call vote, motion Wö.S carried.
WATER Fmm
No changes un9-er the water fund budget. It was moved by Councilman Hogluhd seconded by
Councilman Lind~ey that. the -~ater Fund Budget for 1967 be adopted. Motion barried.
SEWER FUND
No'changes under the Sewer Fund Budget. It was moved by Councilman Hoglund seconded by
CounciLman Sweitzer the the Sewer Fund Budget for 1967 be adopted. Motion carried.

GARBAGE FUND
Under Salaries & Wages the item Foreman Salary be reduced from $6,000. to $5,700.00. It
was moved by Councilman Hoglund seconded by Councilman Sweitzer that the change in the Garbage
Department Budget be confirmed and that the Garbage Department Budget for 1967 be adopted.
Motion carried.
FIREMEN RELIEF & PENSION FUND
No chånges under the Firement Relief & Pension Fund Budget. It was moved by Councilman
Hoglund seconded by Councilman Siebenbaum that the Firemen Pension Pund Budget for 1967 be
adopted. Motion carried.
PORT TOWNSEND GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS 1955
No changes under the Port Townsend General Obligatinn Bonds 1955 Budget. It was moved by
Councilman Hoglund seconded by Councilman Lindsey th~t the Port Townsend General Obligati~n
. Bonds 1955 Budget be adopted. Motion carried.
PREPARAT~ON OF ORDINANCES
It was moved by Councilman Siebenbaum seconded by Ruby that the City Attorney be authorized
to prepare the necessary ordinances for the 1967 Budget. Motion carried.
ADJOURNrvŒNT
Consiàerati~n and adoption of the Budget for 1967 having been completed, it was moved by
Councilman Car1er. seconded "by Council:nan Siebenbaum thajL. e l.neeting 0 now adjourn. Motion
