The City Council,
Port Townsend, Wash~ngton
Gentlemen:
I
Would it mee t wi th the Councils approval for the Chamber of Commerce to explore the possibility¡
of g~an ts for res toration of His torical Sights or the Federal Progr.91ns for Individual &
community improvements.
This would be to find out just what sort of conditions must be met if such funds are to be
obtained! The main thought in point was the possible improvement of the City Hall. There was
no intent of pushing for improvements but just to see what conditions would be required.
If the Council has no objection we had a motion made and p8.ssed at todays meeting to find out
some of the details involved. We do not wish to presume on any of the Citys initiative in the
matter but more in the spmrit of cooperation.
Very Sincerely,
. E. R. May
