AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 13.12.220 OF THE PORT TOWNSEND MUNICIPAL CODE TO REMOVE SUBSECTION F REGARDING CONVERSION OF IRRIGATION TAPS AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF JANUARY 1, 1994. THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 13.12.220 of the Port Townsend Municipal Code is here and hereby amended to read as follows: 13.12.220 Monthly Water Rates. The following monthly rates shall be charged by the City and collected by the City Clerk-Treasurer for the use and furnishing of water service, with all such rates and charges to be made and paid on a monthly basis: mo Meter Size 5/8" x 3/4 1" i~A,, 11/2,, 13A. 2" 3" 4') 6" 8" Meter Charge. All water used, except for closed connection for fire protection, shall be metered. Monthly service charges and standby fee shall be based on meter size and the quantity of water provided to the customer and shall be paid regardless of whether the service is on or off. The meter charge shall be based on the following schedule: Inside City $10.00/month $23.30/month $35.00/month $46.65/month $60.70/month $74.65/month $140.00/month $233.35/month $466.70/month $746.70/month Outside City $12.50/month $29.10/month $43.75/month $58.30/month $75.50/month $93.00/month $175.00/month $292.00/month $583.00/month $930.00/month ordinans\watrrat2.txt A manifold meter installed fOr irri- gation purposes only shall not be subject to a meter charge in addition to the charge for the main service meter. 0 0 Where meters for residential customers larger than five-eighths inch by three-quarter inch have been installed for the convenience of the City, the customer shall be assessed a meter charge only for the three-quarter inch rate. Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect on January 1, 1994, after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law.
