City of Port Townsend Planning and Building Dept. 540 Water Street Port Townsend, WA 98368 AN ORDINANCE VACATING THAT PORTION OF WILSON STREET LYING NORTH OF THE SOUTHERLY LINE OF PLATTED 8TH STREET AND SOUTH OF THE SOUTHERLY LINE OF PLATTED 9TH STREET, AND LYING BETWEEN BLOCKS 211 AND 212 IN THE EISENBEIS ADDITION TO THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND WHEREAS, the City Council for the City of Port Townsend has considered Street Vacation Application 9401-10, and following due notice has held a public hearing upon the application, and WHEREAS, the City Council for the City of Port Townsend adopted its Findings of Fact and Conclusions on June 20, 1994, now, therefore, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That portion of Wilson Street lying between the southerly line of platted 9th Street and the southerly line of platted 8th Street shall be vacated. Section 2. That the street vacation aforementioned is conditioned, however, on the following: A utilities easement 15 feet in width shall be retained along the center line of the subject portion of vacated Wilson Street. A certified copy of the ordinance vacating the street shall be recorded by the City with the office of the Jefferson County Auditor. The street vacation shall be canceled and become automatically null and void one year after City Council action if said dedications are not made. Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its passage, approval and publication in the form and manner provided by law, and after it has been recorded with the Jefferson County Auditor pursuant to Section 2 of this ordinance.
