AN ORDINANCE VACATING I~.F.D STREET FROM ADAMS STREET TO TAYLOR
STREET, LOCATED SOUTH OF BLOCK 25 OF THE MOUNTAIN VIEW 2ND
ADDITION, AND TO THE NORTH OF BLOCK 12 OF THE MOUNTAIN VIEW
ADDITION TO THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND; ESTABLISHING CONDITIONS TO
THE STRl=.~r VACATION; AND ESTABLISHING AN F.,FFF.,CTiVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council for the City of Port Townsend has considered Street Vacation
Application ~9311-06 (Mark Saran), and following due notice has held a public hearing upon
the application, and
WHF.2,EAS, the City Council for the City of Port Townsend adopted its Findings of Fact
and Conclusions on February 7, 1994, and Amended Findings of Fact and Conclusions on
February 6, 1995, and on August 7, 1995, now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the following street is hereby vacated:
Reed Street from Adams Street to Taylor Street. The subject street is located
to the south of Block 25 of the. Mountain View 2nd Addition, and to the north
of Block 12 of the Mountain View Addition to the City of Port Townsend.
Section 2. That the street vacation is conditioned on the following:
All the subject lots located within Block 25 will be subject to all the
regulations sefforth in Chapter 19 PTMC (Environmentally Sensitive Areas.)
B. All development must meet the requirements for fire apparatus access.
The applicant shall secure a sewer line agreement with the owner of the
residence located within the vacated portion of the Adams Street right-of-way.
If a sewer agreement cannot be acquired to share in the use of the line,
alternative sewer main lines would be required of the applicant at the time of
development.
The existing phone line, leading to the applicant's property, which is currently
located above ground shall be buried with the supervision of the phone service
company at the applicant's expense prior to approval of an ordinance vacating
the street.
A certified copy of the ordinance vacating the street and alleys shall be
recorded by the City Clerk in the office of the Jefferson County Auditor upon
receipt of all street vacation charges.

Section 3.
This ordinance shall take effect upon its passage, approval and publication in
the form and manner provided by law, and after it has been recorded with the
Jefferson County Auditor.
Read for the first, second and third times, passed by the City Council for the City of Port
Townsend and signed by the Mayor of the City this 4 day of March, 1996.
