AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND AMENDING THE
PORT TOWNSEND MUNICIPAL CODE SECTION 10.40.020, TO ADD
ADDITIONAL STREETS FROM PROHIBITED AREAS, OF CHAPTER
10.40, SKATEBOARDS AND ROLLER SKATES
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 2476 adopted September 5, 1995, needs to be amended to
add additional streets from prohibited areas for skateboards and/or roller skates.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Port Townsend ordains as follows:
~ Section 10.40.020, Prohibited locations, Chapter 10.40, Skateboards
and Roller Skates, of the Port Townsend Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
10.40.020 Prohibited locations.
The use or riding of skateboards is prohibited on all portions of streets in the city which are
open to vehicular traffic and all public sidewalks on the portions of streets hereinafter
mentioned:
A. Water Street between Monroe Street and Harrison Walker Street;
B. Washington Street between Monroe and Yaykrr Harrison Streets;
C. Taylor Street between Washington and Front Streets;
D. Adams Street between Washington and Wa~'r-Streets the shoreline;
E. Quincy Street between Water and Washington Streets;
F. Lawrence Street between Taylor and Harrison Streets;
G. Monroe Street between Lawrence and Water Streets;
H. Polk Street between Washington and Water Streets; a~d
I. Tyler Street between Washington Street and the shoreline:-.:
J. Madison Street between Washington Street and the shoreline:
K. Union Wharf;
L. City Dock; and
M. Sims Way between Walker Street and Kearney Street.

Section 2. ~e~. If any provision of this ordinance or its application to any person
or circumstance is held invalid, the remainder of the ordinance, or the application of the
provision to other persons or circumstances is not affected.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in force five days after the date of its publication in
the manner provided by law.
Read for the first, second, and third times and passed by the City Council of the City of
Port Townsend, Washington, at a regular meeting thereof, held this 7th day of October 1996.
