High Performance Teams Continuum
All teams and organiZations fit on a continuum between dysfunctional
and high performing and are moving in one direction or the other.
Where are we on the continuum, and in which direction are we
moving?
Performing
All team members share the responsibility of helping their
team become and remain performing.
Performing teams
· Have clear goals, they have a game plan and they are
committed to their goals
· Everyone knows what position to play and is masterful
at their position while still being flexible enough to
rotate to other players positions
· They know each players strengths and utilize them
· They communicate well and work together to increase
the quality of worklife in their team and organization
· They celebrate victories and they share in the glory
with the team, and they don't point fingers when it
goes bad
· They settle their differences off the field using
dialogue and proactive problem solving
· They have fun
· They trust each other and they do not jeopardize that
trust
· They keep themselves accountable by supporting one
another, measuring results, improving processes and
embracing change

RE: Work Plan 2002
DATE:
Janua~ 11,2002
! have reviewed the work plan for the year 2002 and extracted those elements that will
need council action. This is not an absolute listing. There will be issues that may adse
dudng the year as well 'as those you may choose to add. The overview is organized by
department activity centers. I have also developed a key to setting goals for action
during the year 2002.
I look forward to our meeting and discussion.
