AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. ~_~, AND
ESTABLISHING MINIMUM AGE FOR CONSUMPTION OF LIQUOR
AND LIQUOR SALES TO MINORS.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND, IN REGULAR SESSION
ASSEMBLED, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Ordinance No. I¢~~ is here and hereby repealded.
Section 2. Any person who sells, gives or delivers any intoxicating
liquor or beverages to any person less than 21 yea~ of age, is
guilty of a misdemeanor, provided that nothing herein sh~ll prohibit the
furnishing of intoxicating beverages to any person for a religious or
medicinal purpose or as part of meals in the family home of the person
consuming said beverage.
Section 3. Any person who is less than 21 years of age, and who
is in possession of or has consumed or is consuming any intoxicating
beverage, other than for religious or medicinal purposes or in
connection with a meal taken in his family home or under the supervision
of his parents, is guilty of a misdemeanor.
Section 4. This ordinance Shall take effect upon its passage,
approval andlpublication in the form and manner required by law.
Read for the first, second and third times, passed by the
Council and approved~,by the Mayor on J~ly 16, 1974.
