A ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND,
WASHINGTON, ESTABLISHING ADJUSTED SALARIES FOR CERTAIN CITY
POSITIONS, AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City has entered into certain labor agreements for police officers,
firefighters, and general government employees; and
WHEREAS, said agreements make certain adjustments to the salaries for the positions
listed therein; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the Council's instructions to the Interim City Manager,
the City Council wishes to implement other adjustments for certain positions which are
not included in labor agreements;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Port
Townsend as follows:
SECTION 1. From and after January 1, 1999, the salaries for the following City
positions are fixed not to exceed the following amounts, which salaries shall be paid
monthly, unless otherwise indicated:
City Manager ............................................... 6,500.00
City Clerk .................................................. 3,682.80
Confidential Receptionist/Clerical Assistant ....................... 2,379.00
City Attorney ............................................... 6,224.87

SECTION 3. Any and all actions taken pursuant to the authority of this ordinance but
prior to its passage are hereby ratified and confmned.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect upon its passage, approval and publication
in the form and manner provided by law.
