Minutes of the Port Townsend Special Session Arts Commission Meeting of March 5, 2026
LOCATION: In-person at City Council Chambers and Remote
MEMBERS’ PRESENT: Alexis Arrabito, Sheena Uritz, Joshua Saunders, Melanie Muszynski, Dan Groussman, Doug Caskey,
Christine Walsh Rogers, Heidi Tullmann and Simon Lynge.
STAFF PRESENT: Arts & Culture Coordinator Katy Goodman, and Deputy City Clerk Lonnie Mickle

Topic Motions/Recommendation/Action
Call to Order Chair Alexis Arrabito called the meeting to order at 3:03 pm.
Approval of Agenda The agenda was approved by consensus.
Approval of Minutes for February 5, 2026 The amendment minutes were approved by consensus.
Public Comment The was no Public Comment for this meeting
Committee Business The Commissioners and staff spoke with applicants for
Grant Funding grants. After the discussion, Commissioner Doug Caskey
moved to award Jen Cohen/Raw Art Collective a total of
$500.00, David Thielk/ Port Townsend Community Dance a
total of $1,000.00, PT Artscape a total of $1,000.00,
Jefferson County Farmers Market a total of $1,500.00, The
Production Alliance a total of $ 2,500.00, Port Townsend
PTA a total of $800.00, Port Townsend School of
Woodworking a total of $1,500.00, Iván Espinosa/ Salish
Sea BUTOH Festival a total of $1000.00, Leila Block/
Flamenco workshop a total of $1,000.00, Tristan Marcum/
Bringing Supaman Back to PT a total of $1,150.00, and
Songwriting Works Educational Foundation a total of
$1,550.00. Commissioner Simon Lynge seconded. Motion
passed unanimously.
