RESOLUTION 25-033
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PORT TOWNSEND, WASHINGTON, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO.21-033 FOR
THE MEMBERSHIP COMPOSITION, TERMS OF OFFICE, AND PROCEDURAL
RULES OF THE PARKS, RECREATION, TREES AND TRAILS ADVISORY BOARD
WHEREAS, on June 7, 2021, the City established the Parks, Recreation, Trees and
Trails Advisory Board ("PRTTAB") through Resolution No. 21-033; and
WHEREAS, Resolution 21-033 established that the PRTTAB would consist of no less
than five members and no more than seven members; and
WHEREAS, based on increased membership interest and the expanded scope, the City
Council wishes to increase the allowable number of members;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Port
Townsend as follows:
SECTION 1. MEMBERSHIP. Section 4 of Resolution 21-033 related to "Membership" shall
be amended to read as follows
SECTION 4. MEMBERSHIP
The Parks, Recreation, Trees and Trails Advisory Board shall
consist of no less than five and no more than seve nine members,
to be appointed by the mayor with the consent of the City Council
from citizens of recognized fitness for such positions, with the
following additional provisions:
A. The members of the Parks, Recreation, Trees, and Trails
Advisory Board should include at least two members of community
organizations and civic groups involved in arboriculture, or who act
as tree -related professionals such as arborists, tree professionals,
landscape architects or and and/or landscape designers.
B. All members of the Advisory Board must have demonstrated
interest in and/or knowledge of the community's parks and/or
recreation facilities.
SECTION 2. AMENDED. Resolution 21-033 shall be amended as described above. All other
provisions of Resolution 21-033 shall remain in full force and effect.
Resolution 25-033
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Port Townsend at a special meeting
thereof, held this 8th day of December 2025. --
