Call to Order Chair Lindsey Wayland called the meetingto order at
3:02pm
Roll Call Lindsey Wayland, Joe Gillard, Cristina Silva, Anna Quinn,
Heidi Tullman.
Approval of Agenda Joe Gillardmoved to approve the agenda. Anna Quinn
seconded. Motion passed unanimously.
Approval of Minutes forSeptember 5thand the 19th, 2024 Joe Gillard moved to approve both sets of minutes.Cristina
Silvaseconded. Motion passed unanimously.
Public Comment There was no public comment for this meeting.
Community Services Department The CityManager, John Mauro,explained the reasonsfor
an Integrated Community Services Department.The Public
Library Director, Melody Sky Weaver,mentioned that an
integrated department can deliver more coordinated
services and the bonus of different entities working together.
Communications & Marketing Manager, Shelly Leavens,
stated she would keep the Commissioners informed of any
new developments with thenewdepartment. The
Commissioners asked questions of the staffand discussed
theCommunity Servicesdepartment.
Discussion ensued aboutcreativesynergy, financial
sustainability,and collaboration within the department. John
Mauroexplained the budget of the community services
department.
Chair Update Chair Lindsey Wayland gave an update. She mentioned the
vacancywith the Commission.Shespoke about information

received from Adrienne Kerrigan, the Community Relations
Program Coordinator for ARTSWA.
Treasure Update Commissioner Joe Gillardgave an update on the Budget.
Staff Update Communications & Marketing Manager, Shelly Leavens
discussed the end of the year celebration for advisory
boards and commissions, the final Poet Laureateeventof
the yearat the library, a budget update,a PAC update,and
a micro grant request.
Grant Funding Heidi Tullmanmoved to give The Quilcene Theatera total of
$1660.00 and Key City Players, Inca total of $1710.01.
Cristina Silvaseconded. Motion passed unanimously.
Correspondence There was no correspondence regarding this meeting.
