It was moved by Councilman Moeller, and seconbd by Councilman Paddock, that permit be
in accordance with the foregoing request. Motion carried.
A discussion ensued, at this time, relative to commencing on buildings prior to grant'_'
ing of permit and noted in this discussion was the obsolescence of'the present Ordinances
relative to building.
Mr. H. J. Carroll, local Realtor, recommended that the City make application to the
Washington Survey!ng and Rating Bureau for a recommended modern building code for cities
of this class and suggested that it might be of considerable advantage to request a re-
survey of the city by the Bureau in an attempt to secure a better'classilteation,and con-
sequent reduction in insurance rates.
It was moved by Councilman Uleason, and seconded by Councilman Evonimo, that the mayor
make requests of the Surveying Rating bureau as outlined above. Motion carried.

and anproved by the Fire Chief of the City of Port Townsend.

going bequest be approved and permit granted provided the building recently moved onto this
property be removed therefrom. Upon roll call vote all -six Councilmen present voted in the
affirmative and motion was declared carried.
