AN ORDINANCE of the City of Port Townsend vacatingportions of streets in Johnston's

Addition to said City.

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That those portions of 26th and 27th streets from the easterly line zg�
of Cliff Street to the abutting "acreage and those portions of 26th 2e7th streets
from the westerly line of Lddy Street to the easterly line of Howard Street, all in
Johnaton's•Addition to the City of Port Townsend, be and the same are hereby vacated,
PROVIDED HOlEVEH, That there is hereby retained in the City of Port Townsend an ease -.pis„
ment and the right to exercise and grant easements in respect to the portions of thepg
J streets hereby vacated for the construction, repair and/or maintenance of public}+�tl��
1! utilities.
�l Section 2. That a co of this ordinance dui certified b the City Clerk shall

after publication as hereinafter ordained, be filed with the County Assessor and t.w

County Auditor for Jefferson county, •4ashington, and such copy be recorded in the books

It was moved by Councilman Meuller, and seconded by Councilman Gleason, that the first
reading be considered the second reading, and that the third reading be by title only. Up-
on boll Call vote all seven Councilmen present voted in the affirmative and motion was de-
clared carried.
THird Reading and Passage
The Ordinance under consideration was read by title only for the third reading and
upon completion thereof it was moved by Councilman ;euller, and seconded by Councilman
Steele, that the Ordinance do now pass. Upon Roll Call vote all seven Couniclmen present
voted in the affirmative and the motion was declared carried.

Commendation of City Crews
Yayor• Pro-Tem Sullivan stated that he wished to take thisopportunit,y to commend the
City Employees, particularily those of the City Street Dept. and the Garbage Dept.,fa- the
wholehearted and efficient manner in which they had carried out their duties during the
extremely bad weather being experienced.
Vacating of Streets Temporarily Stopped
It was moved by Councilman-ronimo, seconded by Councilman Neuller, that the Council
do not consider any further street vacations until such time has a map can be prepared show-
ing all streets heretofore vacated, has requested by the Council at a previous session.
Motion carried.
No further business appearing for consideration by the Council, it was moved by Counci
an Steele, and seconded by Councilman Eronimo, that the Council do now adjourn. Notion
arried.

The,CITY COUNCIL of the City of Port Townsend, Washington met in regular session this
7th day. of February, 1950, .at .7:30 o'clock P.M., in the Council Chambers of the City Hall .
Mayor H. E. Anderson presiding.
ROLL CALL
Officers and Members noted present upon roll call were as follows: Mayor, H. E.
Anderson; City Attorney,C. T. Williams; City Clerk, C. F. Christian, and Councilmen,; : Dennis
