BUILIING PERMITS Request for Building Permit was presented, read, and acted upon as follows: From Clark Aldrich, to -wit: Honorable Mayor and 'city 8ouncil Permission is requested to construct a cancrete boiler house, 12+ x 201 in the rear of the building at 710 Water Street occuppied by Union Cleaners. Clark Abrich Permit Granted by Councilman It was moved by Councilman Paddock, and seconded/Eronimo, that the permit requested by Mr. Aldrich be granted. Motion carried. - COMMUNICATIONS - Var6ous communications were presented, read and acted upon as follows: From P.T.Chamber of Commerce, as follows: December 20, 1949 Honorable Mayor and City Council Port Townsend, Wash. Dear Sirs: The Port Townsend Chamber of Commerce at our last regular meeting went on record petitioning the City Council to install keep off the grass signs on the terrace. The annual damage by youngsters sliding down the hill in the snow has once again begun. After the good work done by the Port Townsend Garden Club to beautify the terrace we feel that these signs are needed badly. , Would appreciate hearing your views and action on this matter. , Respectfully , D. M. Adkisson, Secretary This matter was referred by the Mayor to the Park Board. .December 29, 1949 Honorable Mayor and City Council Port Townsend, V;'ash. Gentlemen: The Port Townsend Chamber of Commerce requests that your body send an immediate letter to the Census Boord in Tpcoma requesting that Fort Viol -den, Washington, be counted in the City of Port Townsend,census. This matter should have immediate attention so that the Officers, Men and Civilians living on the post will be counted as part of our city for taxation purposes. Hoping that your group will take immediate action on this letter. Very truly young, D. M.
