It was moved by Councilman Mueller, and seconded by Uouncilmnn Sullivan, that the
first reading be considered as the second reading and the third reading to be by title
r i only. Upon roll call vote all six Uouncilmen present voted in the affirmative and
motion was declared carried.
Third reading and Passage
The ordinance under consideration was read by title only for the third reading and
upon completion thereof it was moved by Uouncilman Steele, and seconded by Councilman
Eronimo that the ordinance do now pass. Upon roll call vote all six Councilmen present
voted in the affirmntive and motion was declared carried.

S It was moved by Councilman biue_ler, and seconded by Uouncilman Gleason that the
Punchboard Ordinance, which had been read for the first and second reading at previous
1 sessions of:the Council, be now read for the third time. motion carried.
The ordinance under consideration .vas now road in full for the third reading, and
is incorporated in the minutes of April 5, 1949, and upon completion thereof it was
i mov ed. by Councilmen Steele and seconded by Councilman Mueller, that the ordinance do

Re: Ordinance 1228 -'re: Condemnation of an Alley
Councilman Steele stated that it was his opinion that Ordinance 1228 -he: Condemnatio
ofan Alloy, should be repealed as it was an unnecessary expenddturc at this time, it was. -
moved by Councilman N.ueller', and seconded by Councilman Paddock, that the ordinance 1228
be repealed. Upon roll call vote all six Uouncilmen present voted in the affirmative
and motion was declared carried.
City Engineer
City Enginesr Keith r'. Jones outlined at this time the cost of the resurfacing job
on 'fashinaton and Adams streets, and stated that he will spend most of the budget balance
on asphalt for the streets.
Re:11Slox signd' & 'Children at elay"wigns
Councilman uleason moved that the Street Department place"slow signd'and"Children
at Play" signs on various streets if the property owners furnish them, it was seconded
by Uoun�l llran Mueller and motion was carried.

Sept. 20th, 1949
The CITY COUNCIL of the City of Port 'Townsend, Washington met in regular session this
20th day of September, 1949, at 7:30 o'clock P.M., in the Council 0hambers of the City Hal
Mayor H. L. Anderson presiding.
ROLL CALL
Officers and iGembers answering present to roll call were as follows: Mayor H. E.
Anderson, City Attorney C. T. Williams, City Clerk pro -tom Tm. A. Paddock; and Councilmen
Wm. A. Paddock, Dennis, Sullivan, Tony P. Eronimo, Geo. J. Osborne, Goo. F. Mueller, and
Councilmen Ralph H. Steele arriving during session.
MINUTES OF PREVIOUS SESSION
Minutes of the previous session were read in full and following such reading, it
was moved by Councilman Mueller, and seconded by Councilman Eronimo, that the minutes be
approved as read. Motion carried.
REPORTS OF OFFICERS
City Treasurer
The monthlyreport of the City 'Treasurer for the month of September, 1949, was
presented and read, and was referred to the Committee on Finance and Claims.
Steele arrives
Councilman Steele arrived at this time and took part in the proceedings thereafter.
BUILDING RERYITS
Requests for building permits were submitted and read as follows:
