allow the sale of certain types of fireworks for a limited period of time each ,year.
Councilman Mueller stated that there was no necessity to take action at this time but it
would be well to give the matter thought prior to requests for such permission by local 4 ,
merchants which recurveach year. This matter was dhscussed briefly inrgeneral terms by
"# the Council members present.

1; No further business appearing for consideration by the Council at this time, it was
moved by Councilman Mueller, and seconded by Councilman Steele, that the Council do now

The CITY COUNCIL of the City of Port 'Townsend, Washington met in regular session this
19th day of July, 1949, at 7:30 o'clock P•W., in the Council Chambers of the City Hall,
Mayor H. E. Anderson presiding.
ROLL CALL
Officers and -embers answering present to roll call were as follows: Mayor H. E.
Anderson, City Clerk, C. F. Christian; and Councilmen Dennis Sullivan; 7'm. A. Paddock,
use. F ll:ueller, H. h. Gleason, and Goo. J. Osborne.
MINUTES OF PREVIOUS SESSION
Minutes of the previous session were read in full and following such reading, it was
moved by Councilman Gleason, and seconded by Councilman Sullivan, that the minutes be
approved as read, '"lotion carried.
Councilman Eronimo arrives
Councilman ''Tony P. Eronimo arrived during the reading of the minutes and assumed his
duties.thereafter.
APPLICATIONS FOR LICENSE
The City Clerk reported receipt of application for taxicab drivers license from
James R. Martin, which had been approved by the Chief of Police; it was moved by Council
Gleason, and seconded by Councilman Eronimo that the license be approved and granted.
'.Motion carried.
REPORTS OF OFFICERS
City 'Treasurer
The monthly report of the City Treasurer for the month of July, 1949, was presented
and read, and was referred to the Committee on Finance and Claims.
Councilman Steele arrives.
Councilman Steele arrived during the reading of the tbeasurer's report and assumed
his duties thereafter.
