The CITY COUNCIL of the City of Port Townsend, Washington met in regular session this
17th day of May, 1949; at 7:30 otclock P.M., in the Council Chambers of the City Hall,
Mayor H. E. Anderson presiding.
ROLL CALL
Officers and embers answering present to roll call were as follows: Mayor h. b, Ander
son) City Attorney C. T. 4illiams; City Clerk 6'. F. Christian; and Councilmen Geo. r'.
Mueller, h; B. Gleason, Ralph H. Steele, 'Pony P. Eronimo, Dennis Sullivan, and William A.
Paddock. '\
'LINUTES OF PREVIOUS SESSION '
Minutes of the previous session were read in full and following such reading, it was
moved by Councilman Steele, and seconded by Councilman Sullivan, that the minutes be approm
as read, Motion carried.
AP?LICATIONS FOR LICENSE
The City Clerk reported receipt of applications for taxicab drivers license from
John K. DinBord, and David t%. Schatzer, which had been approved by the Chief of Police.
It was moved by Councilman Sullivan, and seconded by Councilman Gleason that licenses be
granted. Motion carried.
REPORTS OF OFFICERS
City Treasurer
The monthly report of the City 'Treasurer for the month of May, 1949, was presented
and read, and was referred to the Committee on r'inance and Claims.
BUILDING PERMITS.
Requests for building permits were submitted and reed as follows:

Gentlemen:
I herein summit my application for a permit: to install modern, plate glass windows
In the front and for 20 feet on the aside of building located at 955 Muter Street
also to make otheri0nor improvements and to install a bay window on the second floor
of said building to confrgm to a bay window therein. All the above improvements will
be with the. vied of using everything fireproof as far ns possible. The total cost of
the above improvements will be approximately one thousand dollars for materials.
I would also appreciate having your engineer establish the grade for a cement
sidewalk of al least four inches in depth on the 'Tyler Street side rumming from water
Street to the bulkhead on Tyler street. This walk will confrom to walks on hater St.
