That if any section or provision or part thereof of this ordinance shall be adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such adjudication shall not affe the validity of the ordinance, as a whole or any section, provision, or part thereof not adjudged invalid or unconstitutional. Section 17. That ordinances No. 879, 1036, 1039, and 1093 of the City of Port Townsend be and the same are hereby repealed. Section 18. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and legal publication, in the manner approved by law. Passed by the City Council this _day of , 1949. Williams Uity A orney It was moved by Councilman Steele, and seconded by Councilman Gleason that the first reading be considered as the second reading and that the third reading be by title only. Upon roll call vote all seven Councilmen present voted in the affirmative and motion was declared carried. Third reeding and Passage. The ordinance under consideration was read by title only for the third reading and it was thereupon moved by Councilman Mueller, and seconded by Councilman Eronimo that the ordinance do now pass. Upon roll call vote all seven Councilmen present voted in the affir motive and motion was declared carried. Ordinance designating Plumbing Inspector an ordinance designating the Plumbing Inspector for the city and the ex-officio building inspector was presented and read in full, at this time, for the first reading, as follows: ORDINANCE N0. /.-234 AN ORDINACE of the City of Port Townsend, making the City Sanitarian, city plumbing inspector, and the Chief of Fire Department ex-officio building inspector, and re- pealing Ordinance No. 1025. THE CITY CUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND, WASHINGTON, DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That it shall be the duty of the -City Sanitarian to not as plumbing inspector and administer all plumbing ordinances and orders of the Council made in connection therewith, without any additional compensation therefore; and it shall be the duty of the Chief of the Fire Department to act as ex-officio building,inspector•. and administer all building ordinances and orders of the Council made in connection therewith, without any additional compensation therefore. Section 2. That Ordinance No.1025 of the City of Port Townsend be and the some is hereby repealed. Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, aprroval and legal publication, in the manner approved by law. Passed by the City Council this day of 1949. The ordinance as originaly presented designated the Olympic. Health District as plumbi inspector and City Attorney Williams advised the Council that this had been done because he did not know their exact wishes with regard to the office to be so designated. Upon ' a short discussion, it was commonly agreed that it was the intent of the Council to place these duties upon -the local sanitarian of the Olympic Health District and that the words "Olympic Health District" be changed to City Sanitarian. The proposed ordinance was read in full for the second reading incorporating the Chan as outlined above. Third reading and Passage. It was moved by Councilman Mueller, and seconded by Councilman Paddock that the ordinance be read by title only for the third reading. Upon roll call vote all seven Councilmen present voted in the affirmative and motion was declared carried.
