Councilman Steele reported that Mr. Arthur. Pattsner owner of the property abutting °
Kearney Street south'':of Washington Street, on the westorly side, is now using a portion
of such street which the City Council, at the last regular session, voted to lease to the ;r• ;''I`���`6��(�'+�4`a'� +�';�
Port Townsend Flying Club. It was moved by ouncilman Steele, and seconded by Cnuncilman
Mueller that the Council reconsider the lensing of this portion of Kearney Street. Upon
roll call vote all five Councilman present voted in the affirmative and motion was declared{'F}e��n`-y'..
carried. `
Mayor Anderson referred this matter to the Street Committee for further investigation.

to the postion of mayor pro tem. This motion was seconded by Councilman Benedetto and upon
roll call vote all five Councilmen present voted in the affirmative and motion was declared
carried. n

Councilman Moeller recommended the appointment of an other member of the Council to
the Police and License Committee and the designation of a chairman of such committee to
fill the vacancy occasioned by the death of Councilman Carroll. Ill anderson appointed }
Councilman Sullivan to the Chairmanship of the Police and License Committee.
Councilman Steele was appointed by the mayor as a member of the Committee on Finance
and Claims.MA Will

The CITY COUNCIL of the City of Port Townsend, 'Nashington, met in regular session thin
19th day of October, 1948; at 7:30 oictock P.m., in the Council Chambers of the City Hall,
Mayor pro tem Sullivan presiding. �,:, • y

Officers and members noted present upon roll call were as follows: Ill pro tem

The minutes of the statutory budget session were read in full and upon completion there
of it was moved by Councilman Benedetto, and seconded by Councilman usborne that the minute ( 't
be approved as read. Motion carried.
The minutes of the last regular tession:were read in full and upon completion thereof
it was moved by Councilman l;ueller, and seconded by Councilman Glenson that the minutes be
approved as read. motion carried.

City 'Treasurer
The monthly report of the City 'Treasurer for the month of September, 1948, was presents
read, and was referred to the Committee on Finance and Claims.
Police Chief
The monthly report of the Chief of Police for the month of September, 1948, showing
arrests and disposition:.of cases, was presented and read, and was referred to the Committee
on Police and License.

The monthly report of the later bunt. for the month of September, 1948, was presented
and read and was ordered filed.
The report of the Plater Supt. showing the flow of water through main lines asters for
the week ending October 19, 1948, and the Crown Zellerbach meter for the week ending
October 16, 1948, was presented and referred to the Committee on III and Drainage.
