City equipment to be driven by employees onl
It was moved by Councilman Gleason, and seconded by Councilman Benedetto, that hence-
forth no city owned vdhiicle or piece of automotive equipment should be driven by any person
other than a duly'. authorized city employee. Upon roll call vote all six Councilmen present
voted in the affirmative and motion was declared carried.
The above motion was followed by a short discussion of thenprogram carried out for the
instruction of the members of the Senior Class of the local highschool with respect to the
conduct and operation of city admieiistration.

moved by Councilman Mueller, andseconded by Councilman Benedetto that the Council do now
adjourn. Motion carried.

MINUTES OF REGULAR SESSION ON CITY COUNCIL, JUNE 22, 1948

June 22, 1948
The CITY COUNCIL of t"e City of Tort 'Townsend, Washington, met in regular session this
22nd day of June, 1948, at 7:30 o'clock P.M., in the Council Chambers of the City Hall,
Mayor H. H. Anderson presiding.
ROLL CALL
Officers and Members noted present upon roll call were as follows: Mayor H. E. Anderson,
City Attorney W. J. Daly; City Clerk C. F. Christian; and Councilmen H. E. Gleason, A. Bene'
detto, Geo. J. Osborne, J. M. Carroll, Geo. F. Mueller; Councilmen Dennis Sullivan and
Ralph H. Steele arriving during the session.
MINUTES OF PREVIOUS SESSION
The minutes of the previous session were read in full and following such reading it
was moved by Councilman Mueller, and seconded by Councilman Osborne, that the minutes be
anproved as read. Motion carried.

Councilman Steele arrived during the reading of the minutes and took part in the
proceedings thereafter.
Mayor commends Officials
Mayor Anderson at this time commended Mayor pro tem Carroll, members of the Council,
and City Officers for the efficient manner in which the affairs of the city had been handle
during his absence. In reply, Councilman Carroll stated that it was a pleasure to all that
Mayor Anderson was again in our midst.
REPORTS OF OFFICERS
City Attorney
City Attorney Laly reported that the apportionment of coats of sidewalks to be repair(
in conjuration with the Street Lighting Project had been made by the City Engineer; that
statements had been mailed to the property owners concerned; and that payments therefor we]
being promptly made in most cases.
Sullivan arrives
Councilman Sullivan arrived 9t^this time and assumed his duties.

The monthly report of the City Treasurer for the month of Gay, 1948, was presented an

recommended approval thereof. Councilman Gleason then moved that such permit be granted
and his motion was seconded by councilman Benedetto and carried by voice vote of the member
