ORDII+AIXES AND RESOLUTIONS A pros:osed ordinance providing for the appropriation of additional monies for the City Street Fund for the year 1948 visa presented and read in full for the first reeding at this time as follows: ORDINANCE NO. 122`/ AN JhDI1.ANC? providing for the appropriation of money for the City Street °und for expenditure during the year of 1948 and declaring an emergency. 'IHERfiAS, at the time of the adoption of the official budget for the City Street Fund of the city of Port Townsend for the year of 1948, the necessity of acquiring additional lard for the purpose of a gravel pit did not appear, but the same should be now acquired, and, ,'HFhEAS, no funds were appropriated for the purpose aforesaid but such appropria ion should be non made in the sum of $500.00, therefore, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT T9,7NSEND DO ORDAIN as follo'r,s: Section 1. That an emergency is hereby found and declared to exist requiring th immediate appropriation of money for expenditure during the year 1948 in the sum of ,B500.00 for the purpose of acquiring, by deed, the following described lands and premises in the "ity of Port 'Town send, more particularly described as fo_loxs, to -,.,.,it: Lots, 1, 2, 3, & 4 in block 47 of California Addition to said city Section 2. Upon receipt by said city of a merchantable title to the real estat hereinbefore described, the Lity Clerk of said city be and he is hereby authorised to execute erergency warvants not exceeding said sum upon the presentation of a properly approved voucher. Section 3. That this ordinance be published once in the Port 'Townsend Leader t be in force and take effect five days from and after the date of such publication.
