From lion Adkisson, to -wit: Petition for Vacation of Certain Streets and Alleys in Phillips Addition in the City of Port Townsend Jefferson County, Washington The Honorable City Council of the City of Port 'Townsend, Washington: The undersigned, owner of more than two-thirds of the real estate abutting upon those portions of streets and alleys hereinafter described, does hereby ppetition the City Council of the City of Port •ownsend, County of Jefferson, State of ,5'a:hLngton to make vacation of those certain streets and alleys located in Phillips Addition to the City of Port 'Townsend, County of Jefferson, State of Washington, as per plat there recorded in Volume 2 of Plats, Page 2 of'the records of said County, to -wit: Those certain streets and alleys -in the Phillips Addition to the City of Port Tovncend, W. T., as per plat recorded in Volume 2 of Plate on page 2, records of Jefferson County, running North -and mouth between the Northerly line of 15th Otreet and the North boundary line of +eddy Street and the Westerly line of Aatherine Street. The streets to be vacated in said Addition qre namely, 16th Street, 18th Street, 20th "treat and those portions of cliff and uibbs btreet lying North of the Northerly boundary line of 15th Street. IN WIT14ESS %711EREOF, the undersigned has caused these presents to be executed. Don M. Adkisson Date of Hearing Set Councilman Mueller, Chairman of Committee on Streets and Sewers, stated that inasmuch as the petition submitted by Lr. Adkisson was complete in detail and in proper form he would, with the consent of the other members of the committee, move that at'this time the application be approved and that the public hearing be set for the regular session of the City Council to be held October 21, 1947. Councilman Gleason denoted his approval by seconding Councilman 14unllerts motion, and Councilman Steele expressed his approval, and the motion was carried by voice vote of members present. Starrett, Postmaster, Port Townsend, Washington, has advised of the excellent cooperation received from the Port 'Townsend Police Department with regar to the security of the post office building and quarters, and to protection of mail be transported from the dock to the post office. Discussion of this motion was brought about by Councilman Steelets inquiry as to whether or not acceptance was to be upon the basis of inclusion of all alternates shown. It was agreed by all members present that such was to be the case. Upon roll call vote on the motion by Councilman Gleason all seven Councilmen present voted in the affirmative and motion was declared carried. Deposits ordered returned. It was moved by Councilman Gleason and seconded by Councilmen Mueller that the bid deposits accompanying the bids of the unsuressful bidders be returned by the City Clerk. 14otion carried. ADJOURNMENT There being no further businessoforethe Council for their consideration at this time it was moved by Councilman Carroll and seconded by Councilman Steele that the Council do now adjourn. Motion carried.
