The monthly report of the chief of Police, for the month of March, 1947, showing irrests and dispositions of cases, was presented and outlined, and was referred to the onunittee on Police and License. BUILDING PEht:ITS Requests for building permits was presented, read and acted upon as follows: From P. S. Guilford, to -wit: Port Townsend, Washington March 22, 1947 Honorable Mayor and City Council Port Townsend, Washington Gentlemen: Permission is requested to erect a concrete block addition, 151 x 241, o my building situate Lot 1, Block 7, Original Townsite; at an estimated cost of approxi- iately $200.00 for materials. Respectfully submitted, P. S. Guilford It was moved by Councilman Carroll, and seconded by Councilman Mueller that the £ore- ;oing application be referred to the committee on building and license. Councilman Gleason reported that Mr. Guilford had discussed with the building committee a•ior to this session, the work proposed, in his request for permit, and the committee could ee no reason why permit should not be granted at this time. In view of this information ouneilman Carroll withdrew the motion with consent of the second; and by common agreement his application was acted upon together with the following; From R. Councilman Gleason stated that he felt that in the granting of pinball location permits pproval should be obtained from the Chief of Police before any action be taken by the count Councilmen Carroll, with approval of the second, withdrew his previous motion; and it as thereupon moved by Councilman Gleason, and seconded by Councilman Carroll, that the oregoing application be referred to the chief of Police and the Committee on Police and icense for report at the next regular session. lotion Carried.
