The monthly report of the Chief of Police, for the month of February, 1947, was presented and outlined, and was referred to the committee on Police and License. REPORTS OF STANDING COMMITTEES. Streets and Sewers. The committee on Streets and Sewers presented written reports which were read by the clerk, as follows: Port Townsend, Wash. ;Gar. 4, 1947 l'e recommend that the request for vacation of the streets requested by Leo F. Uehlein be denied, as against the best interests of the City of Port Townsend. There is no object to the lease of the requested streets on a yearly basis. G. F. Mueller H. E. Gleason Port Townsend, Wash. Mar. 4, 1947. We recommend that the request for vacation of the streets requested by Monresa Hall, a corporation, 11. J. Carroll and G. A. Hunt, be denied, as against the best interests of the City of Port Townsend, There is no objection to the lease of the requested streets on a yearly basis. G. F. 'Mueller H. E. 'Mar. 4, 1947. 1:'e recommend that the application of the Union Oil Co., for a franchise to cross Front Street, be granted, and that ordinance be presented for consideration. G. F. Mueller H. E. Gleason Committee report approved. It was moved by Councilman Benedetto, and seconded by Councilman Osborne, that the foregoing committee reports be approved by the council. Motion carried. BUILDING PERMITS. Requests for building permits were presented, read and acted upon as follows: From Y. C. De Leo, to -wit: Port Townsend, Washington Lurch 3, 1947. Honorable Mayor and City Council Port Townsend, WWashington. Gentlemen: I respectfully request permission to change the location of the marquee over the entrance to the Delmunico by moving same approximately six or eight feet westerly; also to make minor alterations to the interior of said Delmonico.
