Gentlemen: I have purchased blocks 25, 26,and 29 Dundee Place and intend to fence the property. Running a separate fence around each block would prove to be costly. There is no traffic through this area therefore I respectfully request the City Council to vacate the sections designated in the accompanying diagram. Hunt, to -wit: PETITION FOR VACATION OF PORTIONS OF WILSON AVENUE, HOLCOMB AVENUE, FIFTH STREET, SIXTH STREET AND GISE STREET IN THE CITY OF PORT TOWNSEND, JEFFERSON COUNTY, STATE OF WASHINGTON The Honorable City Council of the City of Port Townsend, !'ashington: The undersigned owners of all real estate abutting upon those streets hereinafter described do hereby petition the City Council of the City of Port Townsend, State of 17ashington, to make vacation of and to vacate the following part of those streets in Eisenbeis Addition to the City of Port Townsend, Jefferson County, Washington, describe as follows, to -wit: That portion of Holcomb Avenue between Seventh and the State Road No. 9; That portion of Wilson Avenue lying between State Highway No. 9, the south side of Seventh Street; That portion of Fifth Street lying between State Highway No. 9 and the east side of 17ilson Street; That portion of Sixth Street lying between the east side of Cleveland Street and Tax No. 4, Section 10, Township 30 North, Range 1 West. 7. Gentlemen: Permission is requested to move a building from a scow to be landed at ;later and Harrison Streets to a permanent site on Lot 8 Block 33, Original Townsite. Build- ing will be carried on approved rubber mounted house moving equipment. I ,. i 217), MINUTL•S OF REGULAR SESSION OFFEBRUARY 18. 1947, continued. _' { d - - Re: Anonymous Letters t Mayor Anderson reported to the council that he had recently received an anonymous lette relative to the matter of enforcing a curfew for minors. The Mayor stated that other such letters had been received in the past, and he wished to state publicly that such letters could receive no consideration. Anyone desiring action by the mayor and council should make himself or herself known in order that the matter might be intelligently considered among all parties interested. REQUISITIONS Fire Department A requisition from the Fire Department for five hundred feet 2�hL" double jacket fire hose; one oil stove for apparatus room; and one battery for the Chevrolet Seagraves pump tvas presented and read, and following brief discussion, it was moved by Councilman Gleason, and seconded by Councilman Mueller, that the requisition be granted. Upon roll call vote, all seven councilman present voted in the affirmative and motion visa declared carried. Carroll excused. Councilman Carroll requested at this time that he be excused from further attendance at r this session, which permission visa granted. ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIO144S _ Repealing Ordinance 1 A form of ordinance providing for the repeal of a previously enacted ordinance was presented and read in full for the first reading at this time as follows: l ORDINANCE No. /2e' jjj AN ORDINANCE of the City of Port Townsend repealing Ordinance No. 1205 of said city entitled "AN ORDINANCE relating to the program of capital improvements within the City of Port Townsend and creating the "Port Townsend Street Lighting -State Development Fund" to receive funds anticipated to be allo- cated to said project by the Washington State Development Board", passed by the City Council December 17, 1946, and approved by the Mayor December 18, 1946. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TO"INSEND DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOl4S: Section 1. That Ordinance No. 1205 of said city entitled "Aid ORDINANCE relating to the program of capital improvements within the City of Port Townsend and creating the "Port Townsend Street Lighting -State Development Fund" to receive funds anticipate to be allocated to said project by the Washington State Development Board", passed by the City Council December 17, 1946, and approved by the Mayor December 18, 1946, be an the same is hereby repealed. Unon roll call vote, all six councilmen present voted in the affirmative, and motion was declared carried. Third Reading and Passage The nroposed ordinance was read by title only for the third reading, whereupon it was moved by Councilman Steele, and seconded by Councilman Benedetto, that the ordinance do now pass. Street Lighting -Development Fund Ordinance An ordinance providing for the creation of a fund for the purpose of carrying out the construction of improved street lighting, was presented and read in full at this time for the first reading as follows:
