F I have leased these premises from the Mt. Baker Lodge #9 of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows of Port Townsend, Jefferson County, Washington. ! I desire to remodel the building for theater purposes. The cost of material used in remodeling the building will be approximately fifteen hundred dollars ($1500.00). '.! In regard to exits - vie will comply with all State regulations and in addition thereto will supply two rear exits, one double exit on westerly wall and double exit o -.. front of premises. 2. Also, the construction when finished will be clean, sanitary and so maintains as to comply with all health and sanitation regulations of the City of Port Townsend, Public Health Office and State Lars. 3. In regard to the operation of the theater it is my intention to have the same properly supervised so that there will be absolutely no chance for the premises to become invitation to juvenile delinquency. I 211 C 0i::UD IC AT I ONS 1 From Puget Sound Power and Light Company A short memorandum letter of transmission from Puget Sound Power and Light Co., pre- senting contract forms for renewal of the street lighting contract which expires on Febru- ary B, visa presented for consideration, and was referred to the Committee on Fire and Light. Bids called v' dk Following the foregoing discussion, it was moved by Councilman Carroll, and seconded by Councilman Mueller, that the requisition from the Police Department be requested, and that the City Clerk publish a call for sealed bids on a sedan delivery type vehicle of the kind and quality now operated by the 7ashington State Patrol, or equal; bids to be for full 0 '' cash payment therefor, and that the City Clerk further place a call for bids to purchase fo: rw;+stF I cash the 1939 Chevrolet coach now owned by the city, and providing that employees or offi- cials of the city or members of their immediate families be disqualified from bidding upon +4 N f this vehicle, all such bids to be opened at the next regular session of the City Council, Upon roll call vote, all seven councilmen present voted in the affirmative, and motion was declared carried. ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS Ordinance providing for Supervisor of Public Services and Public Property A proposed ordinance creating the office of Supervisor of Public Services and Public s: Property, and defining duties, was presented and read in full for the first reading at this x. time, as follows: ORDI14AI10E IdO. /2= ' AN OhDINANCE of the City of Port Townsend creating the office of Supervisor of Public Services and Public Property and defining the duties attendant thereto. ` ! WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council of the City of Port Townsend that during the several months last past by conflict of authority between the department heads of the city government and other factors, all of the citizens have not been receiving the maximum benefits of the administration to which they are entitled, and, 7:'HEREAS, the demands upon the time and effort of the various members of the City Council of the City of Port Townsend, have been greater than the duties of their re- t spective offices require, and in order to centralize sundry city services, ri THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT TO7.IVSEL'D DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: a Section I.. That there be and is hereby created an office in the City of Port Townsend to be known as the Department of Services and Public Property, which depart- ment shall include the duties contemplated and required of the Water Department Street Department Garbage Department Sewer Department Public buildings and City property. Section 2.
