It was ;Sr. Brooks' opinion that the vicinity of the Safeway store visa nearest the greatest concentration of traffic. Mr. Hobert Lussier stated that he had made numerous inquiries, and that the location at the foot of the 'Taylor Street terrace appeared to be favored by the majority. Mr. Robert Y,67ain presented a petition form with eighty-nine signatures designating a preference of the terrace location. Councilman Sullivan stated that Mr. Y. C. De Leo had spoken favorably upon improving and opening for use the ground floor of the Haller Building, more commonly known as the old Y.M.C.A. Building; that he had inspected the premises with Mr. DeLeoj and that satisfactory restrooms were at present installed in the building; and that it might be possible to ar- range for the use of this location as a bus depot, thereby eliminating one of the present traffic problems. At one time during the discussion Councilman Sullivan moved that the city establish public restrooms at the font of the Taylor Stx'ect terrace, but subsequently withdrew his motion pending determination of what action would be taken relative to the use of the Haller Building. Re: Siren on Police Car. Councilman Benedetto inquired as to whether or not there visa a siren installed upon the Chevrolet car used by the police department,, it being his understanding that such was not th case. A short discussion followed relative to police matters, but no decisive action of any sort was taken by the 9ouncil. MOTION Foh ADJOURNII,ENT. No further business appearing for consideration by the Council at this time, it was moved by Councilman Mueller, and seconded by Councilman Benedetto, that the Council do now adjourn. ]lotion carried.
