There were present, at the City Hall, at 7:30 o'clock P.M. for the purpose of holding
a regular session of the City Council Mayor H. E. Anderson, City Attorney 111. J. Daly, City
Clerk C. B'. Christian, and Councilmen A. Benedetto, Dennis Sullivan, and H. E. Gleason.
The aforesaid Officers and Council Y.embers remained until approximately 8:30 P.M. to
await the possible arrival of other councilmen, but as no fourth member of the council
appeared, no quorum was present and a meeting could not be held.

The CITY COUNCIL of the City of Port Townsend, Piashington, met in regular session this
3rd day of September, 1946, at 7:30 otclock P.M., in the Council Chambers of the City Hall,
Mayor H. E. Anderson presiding.
ROLL CALL.
Officers and Members answering present to roll call were as follows: Mayor,
H. E. Anderson; City Clerk, C. F. Christian; and Councilmen, Dennis Sullivan, Geo. F. Iriuelle ,
H. E. Gleason and A. Benedetto. City Attorney W. J. Daly and Councilmen J. I% Carroll and
Ralph H. Steele arrived during the session, and Councilman 71m. Lammers, Sr. visa excused from
attendance.
MINUTES OF PREVIOUS SESSION.
The minutes of the previous session
were read, and it was thereupon moved by Councilman
Gleason, and seconded by Councilman Steele,
that the minutes be approved as read.
Motion
carried.
Daly and Steele arrive.
City Attorney W. J. Daly and Councilman
Ralph H. Steele arrived during the reading
of
the minutes and assumed their duties.
BILLS A16D CLAIMS.
Mueller appointed to Finance Committee.
The City Clerk informed the Mayor
that only one member of the Finance Committee,
namely
Councilman Sullivan, had been available
to approve the prepared vouchers for bills
against
the City, whereupon the Mayor announced
the appointment of Councilman 1,ueller as a
member of
the Finance Committee for the balance
of the term.

It was moved by Councilmen Sullivan,and seconded by Councilman Steele, that the fore-
going bills be allowed, and that the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to sign warrants
issued in payment thereof. Upon roll call vote, all sir. Councilmen present voted in the t+ +
affirmative and motion was declared carried.
