Gentlemen:
You are requested arrange the official designation of SIMS ;SAY, and define its
extent, at the earliest feasible date to assist the postal service operations improve-
ments now under way for the fifth, six and seventh precincts.
SIMS WAY was unofficially dedicated as such by civic action during the state
highway extension celebration some years ago, but never officially confirmed, I am
informed.
I will be glad to confer with your committee in regard to the need and details
of such action at any time.
I am also sure that the official designation will be a generally approved
permanent tribute to Mr. E. A. Sims whose civic and legislative leadership meant
so much to this city, county and the Olympic penibsula in recent years.
3r,s Yours respectfully,
E. 6.. Starrett, Postmaster
