RE: Permits in First and Second Fire Zones
It was moved by Councilman Lueller that the fire and building committee hereafter
recommend approval of permits requested in the first and second fire zones providing t''
are found to meet minimum fire protection requirements. This motion was second by Uou

To Mayor Anderson and Councilmen of Port Townsend:
In regards to the estimate of damages that my property suffered from water that ran
under it on Saturday, March 2, 1946.
I had Mister Dan 1Ichillo come up and look over the house and he said that it would
take from $250 to $300 to right the damages suffered, and that he would appear in person
if necessary.
I would be willin to pay half the cost of the damages myself.

City Kttorney Daly advised the Council that the foregoing was not a valid claim in as
much as it had not been presented in proper legal form.
It Was moved by Councilman Mueller that this matter be tabled until such time as a
proper claim was presented to the council. This was seconded by Councilman Steele and carr
by voice vote of the members present.

ar Sirs: 'I wish to improve and beautify the property along our home. Our home is situat
Block 56, Lots 1 & 8 of Pettygrove Addition, bordered by U", Willow, and "T" Streets.
Willow Street, between "T" and "U" Streets is grown with underbush and has four large
sea on it, but is littered with trash, etc. If this underbush and trash was cleared, the
pearance of the property and the city would be improved immensely.
Permission is hereby requested to lease 25' West of Ulock 56, Lots 8 & 1, and to clear
t this underbrush and trash, but the large trees will remain standing.

RE: Federal Works Program
Mayor Anderson reported the recent presence in the city of a representative of the
;deral Works Agency with a view to determining projects contemplated by the city for which
'ederal aid might be desired. Mayor Anderson stated that city, county, and school officials
gad met informally with said representative, outlined contemplated projects and present
tatus of each.
