;Minutes of regular session of February 5 1946 continued.
Ro: Fifth t'.ard Sevier.
Councilmen Sullivan spoke of the urgent need of a system of sewerage for a certain
area of the fifth ward, as outlined in the petition presented earlier in the session,and
inquired of the city attorney as to the methods of financing possible.
Councilman I.iueller reported that drainage from septic tanks in the vicinity known as
Dundee Hill is now creating a condition haeardous to the street drainage system.
City Attorney Daly explained for Councilman Sullivan, and the others present, the
methods whereby sewer systems may be financed to conform with provisions of the law; and
outlined the conditions v:hich in his opinion caused the contemplated sewerage of this area
to be economically impractical. This Visa followed by a short discussion of the points of
information presented by the city attorney.

There being no further business before the council, for their consideration at this
time, it visa moved by Councilman Carroll, and seconded by Councilman Steele, that the
council do now adjourn. ;,:otion carried.

The CITY COUNCIL of the City of Port Townsend, Ylashington, met in regular session this
19th day of February, 1946, at 7:30 otclock P.M., in the Council Chambers of the City Hall,
Mayor H. E. Anderson presiding.
ROLL CALL.
Officers and Members noted present upon roll call were as follows: I,:ayor, H. E. Andersw
City Attorney, 77. J. Daly; City Clerk, C. F. Christian; and Councilmen J. M. Carroll, Goo. F
Yueller, H. E. Gleason, A. Benedetto, and Dennis Sullivan. Councilman Ralph H. Steele arrive
during the session and Councilman 17m. Lammers Sr. was excused from attendance.
MINUTES Oy PREVIOUS SESSION.
The minutes of the previous session were read, and upon completion thereof it visa moved
by Councilman I-Meller, and seconded by Councilman Steele, that the minutes be approved as
read. tlotion carried.

REPORTS OF OFFICERS.
City Treasurer.
The monthly report of the City Treasurer, for the month of January, 1946, was presented
and read and visa referred to the Committee on Finance and Claims.

The monthly report of the '.-Fter Superintnendent, for the month of January, 194G, was
presented and read andrrwas referred to the Committee on Crater and Drainage.

for the week ending Februrry 16, 1946; and the Crown Zellerbach Corp. meter for the week end
ing February 9, 1046; was presented and read and was referred to the Committee on '"ater and
Drainage.
