All ORDINANCE of the City of Port Townsend making and fixing the tax levy of said city for taxes for the year 1946. THE CITY COUNCIL (F 'THE CITY OF PORT T00i6END DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOl9S: Section 1. That there is hereby levied upon all the taxable property In the City of Port 'Townsend, the following sums of money and rates of tag: levy for the different purposes herein designated, for the year 1946, and the rate of taxation upon the dollar of assessed valuation of said city for such purposes is as follows: First: For the payment of current expenses and for the Current Expense Fund, the sum of $3,18B.19, and the rate of tax levy for said fund is'hereby fixed at 3.25 mills on the dollar. Second: For the purpose of maintaining a public library and for the Library Fund, the sum of $4,659.66, and the rate of tax levy for said fund is hereby fixed at 4.75 mills on the dollar. Third: For the purpose of maintaining and improving public parks and for the i•ark Fund, the sum of $2,942.95, and the rate of tax levy for said fund ishereby fixed at 3.00 mills on the dollar. Fo,n•th: For the maintenance and improvement of the public streets of the city and for the City Street Fund, the sum of $2,942.95,'and the rate of tax levy for said fund is hereby fixed at 3.00, mills on the dollar. Fifth: For hospitalization and medical service of injured paid fireman and for pensions and for the Fir•emens+ Relief and Pension Fund, the sum of $980.98, and the rate of tax levy for said fund is hereby fixed at 1.00 mills on the dollar. Sixth: For the payment of interest on bonds and for bond redemption 1911 Refund Bonds and Interest Fund, the sum of $2,452.45, and the rate of tax levy for said fund is hereby fired at 2.50 mills on the dollar. Seventh: For the payment of interest on bonds and for redemption 1931 General Indebtedness Plater Bond and Interest Fund, the sum of $2,452.45, and the rate of tax levy for said fund is hereby- fixed at 2.50 mills on the dollar. Eighth: For the payment of indebtedness of the City of Port Townsend known as the "Indebtedness Fund" the sum of $5,885.89, and the rate of tax levy for said fund is hereby fixed at 6.00 mills on the dollar. Section 2. That the Mayor and City Clerk of said City are hereby authorized and directed to certify to the County Auditor and County Assessor of Jefferson County, ,ashingt the foregoing tax levy of said city. Section 3. That this ordinance be published once in the Port Townsend Leader to be in force and take effect as provided by law. PASSED by the City Council October ; 1945. Ordinance providing for Offense of Negligent Driving A proposed Ordinance providing for amendment to Ordinance No. 1091, same being the Traffic Ordinance of this city, together with letter of transmission from the City Attorney, was presented and read in full for the first reading at this time as follows: '.i . j .
