Re: Priority application.
Engineer Lay informed the council that the proceedure for making priority application
)r equipment such as the motor grader sought to be obtained by the city had been revised,
id it was now necessary to receive bids and make the purchase award before submitting the
�iority application for consideration by W.P.B., and this point was discussed briefly.
Call for bids for grader.
Councilman Mueller moved that the city clerk publish notice of a call for bids to fur-
Lsh the city with a new motor grader, in accordance with specifications to be provided by
ae city engineer; said bids to be opened at the regular session of the city council to be
eld August 21, 1945. This motion was seconded by Councilman Steele, and upon Poll call
ate all five councilmen present voted in the affirmative and motion was declared carried.
Re; Budget estimates.
Mayor Anderson read an announcement as follows: "Members of the City Council and all
epartment Heads: I want at this time to call your attention to the budget law which require
hat detailed budgets for your respective departments must be filed with the City Clerk on
r before the second Monday in August. I am going to insist that this procedure be followed
his year in order that I nay be able to properly present to the City Council the budget for
he City for the year 1946." H. E. Anderson, 'Mayor.

Mayor Anderson, at this time, took occasion to extend a welcome to Mr. and Mrs. E. L.
essner, and thank them for the interest shown in the affairs of this city by their attend -
nee as visitors at this session.
ADJOURNMENT.
There being no further matters of business before the council for their consideration
t this time, it was moved by Councilman Carroll, and seconded by Councilman Steele, that
he council do now adjourn. Motion carried.
