Lockhart Retiring Councilman 'Thanked Councilman Carroll tools this occasion to express his thanks to the retiring members of the Council for the fine cooperation and harmony with which they had :corked together in the past. Councilman Mueller also stated that he desired to express his appreciation for the help and cooperation extended to him as a councilman. Yayor Anderson spoke of the fine coordination between the office of the Mayor and the Council during the post term with due thanks to the Councilman not: leaving office, and especially coriended Councilman Brown for his intense interest in, and effort extended toward,a good city government. Re: -Employment of Engineer Councilman Carroll stated that he thought it would be well at this time to plan: in the minds of the members, for their continuing consideration, the matter of the employment of an engineer to advise the Council in matters requiring such information. He stated further, that, since the departuro of Mr. Bugge, no thought had been given to this subject, but that inasmuch as the engineer employed by Jefferson County, had by now acquainted 'himself with the duties of that position, it might be well to consider some arrangement whereby the county and city could both well benefit. ADJOURNMENT No further business appearing for the consideration of the council, it was moved by Councilman Mueller, and seconded by Councilman Sullivan that the Council do now adjourn.
